Chug Life
Later in 2017, I ran into an old friend who was in a band called ‘Pacific Soundrise’ and I was looking for more freelance work, so I showed him some pages from ‘Rappin’ Robot’ and he agreed to hire me for their next Reggae Album Cover “Chug Life”. I said, ‘well what are you lookin’ for exactly?’ He replied, ‘Whatever you want…’
So next week I came in and had a sketch, he lit up and said ‘Wait, I want to be the monkey!’ Then that sort of shaped the idea even more and even gave me a conclusion for the back cover, we picked out the corresponding instruments for each band member/ animal character and that was it. Below is a demonstration of my digital coloring process in a few simple steps, so you can see how it comes to life, enjoy!
